The original bone nut measures 1 9/16' in width and the headstock retains the Kluson Deluxe-style nickel tuners. The guitar plays cleanly up the neck with no buzzing or dead spots and a responsive truss rod. The rosewood fretboard retains the original medium jumbo fretwire, and the frets show just a touch of wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-4, with virtually no wear further up the board.
The neck has a notably slender and fast-feeling C shaped profile with significant taper as you travel up the fretboard, measuring. Weighing in at only 6lbs 6oz, we've had this Casino professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar and dialed in for optimal action and intonation with 10-46 strings. Perfect for bold cleans or overdriven sizzle, these pickups take full advantage of both the snappy attack of the maple body and the warmth of the fully hollow construction. Faithfully replicating mid '60s spec, the P-90s have plenty of bark and growl, with a glassy, touch sensitive sound.
Produced in Japan at the Terada factory, this is an uncommon and early Epiphone reissue which preceded the current 'Elitist' line. Up for sale a 1990 Epiphone Casino in 100% original condition and in perfect working order.
